Liquid Lunch Drink of the Day: 10/29/10

Here's your Liquid Lunch drink special for this week. With Halloween this weekend I'm serving up Zombies! (Brains served separately).

Drink Recipe Ingredients:

• 1/2 oz Bacardi® 151 rum
• 1 oz pineapple juice
• 1 oz orange juice
• 1/2 oz apricot brandy
• 1 tsp sugar
• 2 oz light rum
• 1 oz dark rum
• 1 oz lime juice

Drink Preparation:

• Blend all ingredients with ice except Bacardi 151 proof rum. 
• Pour into a collins glass. 
• Float Bacardi 151 proof rum on top. 
• Garnish with a fruit slice, sprig of mint and a cherry.

Better tape measure: why didn't I think of this?

I can't believe I never thought of this.  I've cursed up and down at tape measures all my life because just as I was about ready to take a measurement, the little hook at the end lost its grip and came flying back.  Well some genius at Stanley has made a bigger hook.  And now he's probably going to make a million dollars.  That could have been me, if only I'd thought of it first.

The Politics of NBA Jam

Nintendo has just released the classic NBA Jam for the Wii.  A classic feature was the ability to play as some of the hidden characters.  Well in the new version, there's a team of Democrats like Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Bill & Hillary Clinton, and Al Gore.  The Republicans include George W. Bush, Sarah Palin, John McCain, and Dick Cheney. 

Just be careful if you play against the Republicans.  Dunk too much on Dick Cheney and he will pull out a shotgun and shoot you in the face.
